Here are some answers to frequently asked questions about the promotion. If you would like more detailed information, please see the promotion conditions of entry.

When does the promotion start?

The promotion starts at 6:00pm (AEST) on 18 June 2018.

Who is the Promoter?

Who can enter?

The promotion is open to Australian residents aged 21 years or over, who purchase an eligible product* through an authorised dealer for their own direct benefit, or as the owner or director of a business or commercial agricrop entity that will use the eligible product in the ordinary course of business.

Additionally, in the event that you win the promotion, you must be able to travel to and remain in the United States from 17 March-24 March 2019 inclusive in accordance with Condition 16 of the conditions of entry.

If you meet the above conditions, you are an eligible ‘Entrant’.

Employees or contactors of Entrants may enter on behalf of an Entrant but must state the name of the business or entity on their Entry. If an employee or contractor is judged to be a winner, the associated Prize will be awarded to the Entrant.

Who isn’t eligible to enter?

The directors, management and employees (and their immediate families) of the Promoter, its related entities, printers, suppliers, providers and agencies whom are directly associated with the conduct of this promotion, and the directors, management and employees of tenants (and their immediate families), or any natural person tenants (and their immediate families), of any participating Centres are ineligible to enter the promotion.

Immediate family means any of the following: spouse, ex-spouse, de-facto spouse, child or step-child (whether natural or by adoption), parent, step-parent, grandparent, step-grandparent, uncle, aunt, niece, nephew, brother, sister, step-brother, step-sister or 1st cousin.

How do I enter?

Buy any eligible product* through an authorised dealer before 18 December 2018. Keep your receipt or sales invoice as proof of purchase. Alternatively, be prepared to provide us with your retailer’s details.

Take a photo that best captures the essence of sustainability: nature and science working together on farm. Visit www.alliancewithscience.com.au/sanfrancisco complete the entry form and upload your chosen photo (maximum file size 10MB).

Please note that employees or contactors of Entrants may enter on behalf of an Entrant but must state the name of the business or entity on their Entry. If an employee or contractor is judged to be a winner, the associated Prize will be awarded to the Entrant.

If you include or make reference to the Intellectual Property Rights of any person, please ensure that you have their written consent. Intellectual Property Rights include visible logos, drawings, cartoons, phrases, trademarks, copyrighted material and any mark that identifies a brand, amongst others.

How many times can I enter?

You can enter the promotion as many times as you like. For each entry, you will need to purchase an eligible product* through an authorised dealer and be able to provide a valid receipt or sales invoice on request.

How will I know that my entry has been submitted successfully?

You will receive a message on your screen saying ‘Thank you for your entry.’

Do I need to show proof of purchase?

Please keep your receipt or sales invoice every time you purchase an eligible product. Alternatively, be prepared to provide us with your retailer’s details.

Will you feature my photo(s) on the promotional website?

Yes. Your photo(s) may be featured on the promotional website and on other online platforms (including social media) both during and after the promotional period.

By entering the promotion, you grant the Promoter a licence to use your entry for marketing and promotional purposes, without providing further consent for its use and without any further compensation being payable to you.

What is the prize valued at?

There will be two identical prizes, each valued at up to $12,500 with a total maximum prize value of up to $25,000. The prizes are not transferable or exchangeable and no cash alternatives will be provided.

What does the prize include?

There will be two identical prizes, each valued at up to $12,500. Each prize will include one return flight to San Francisco airport from an Australian capital city airport, accommodation for 6 nights at a 4-star hotel in San Francisco, 2-day event registration at the World Agri-Tech Innovation Summit in San Francisco, return transfers to/from San Francisco airport to the hotel, return transfers to/from the San Francisco hotel to the World Agri-Tech Innovation Summit, transfers and access to a unique farm/site educational experience in the US, dinner to the value of US$150.00 (excluding beverages) on 21 March 2019.

If I win, can I bring a companion with me?

Yes, you are welcome to bring a companion with you but any costs relating to them accompanying you, such as travel and accommodation, will be your responsibility and the responsibility of your companion.

Are travel dates flexible for the winners?

Unfortunately not. Winners must be able to travel to and remain in the United States from 17 March-24 March 2019 inclusive to coincide with the World Agri-Tech Innovation Summit 2019 in San Francisco.

When is the closing date for the promotion?

The promotion will end on 18 December 2018 at 5:00pm (AEDT). Any entries received after this time will not be considered during the judging process.

When will judging take place?

Judging will take place on 18 January 2019 at 11:00am at the NSW Corporate office of Corteva Agriscience™, Agriculture Division of DowDuPont.

What are the judges looking for?

Our panel of judges are looking for an inspiring, original photo that best captures the essence of sustainability: nature and science working together on your farm.

When will the winner be announced?

The two winners will be notified by email within five business days of the judging, which will take place on 18 January 2019. The winners’ names and localities will be published on the promotional website on 14 February 2019.

I referred a friend to the promotion. When will I receive my free gift?

You will be eligible for a free gift to the value of $15 when a promotion entrant indicates that you referred them to the promotion. Your referral gift will be posted to the address you provided on your entry. Referral gifts are not transferable or exchangeable and no cash alternatives will be provided.

What counts as ‘professional knowledge and expertise in crop protection’?

Individuals from various professions are potentially eligible to enter the promotion, such as agronomists, biochemists, crop consultants, microbiologists, plant nutritionists, soil scientists and crop protection specialists. Please note that this is not an exhaustive list.

Who isn’t eligible to enter?

Will I receive a free gift every time I enter the promotion?

No. You are entitled to a maximum of one free gift – either a Bluetooth speaker or Power Bank to the value of $15 – during the promotional period, regardless of how many times you enter the promotion.

How will I know that my entry has been submitted successfully?

You will receive a message on your screen saying ‘Thank you for your entry.’

Do I need to show proof of purchase?

Please keep your sales invoice every time a customer purchases an eligible product and/or your customer’s contact details and information on when and where the sale took place.

Do sales need to be made in full?

Yes. Sales must be made in full during the promotional period. Lay-bys, back-orders, pre-orders and ‘out of stock’ orders will not be accepted as eligible sales.

Will you feature my photo(s) on the promotional website?
